Children’s Poems Did your parents ever read you children’s poems when you were little? I intelligibly remember my parents reading poems to me. Two that I clearly remember were, “The Duel” by Eugene knit stitch and “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll . These ii poems were my absolute dearies and have stuck with me throughout my lifetime. Eugene field of force (author of “The Duel”) was born September 2, 1850 in St. Louis, Missouri.
